Wychavon Area Network for Artists

We are Art Enthusiasts and Artists, based in and around Pershore, who have come together with a vision of creating a sense of community within the local Arts Scene.

WANA provides a fantastic forum for Artists to share their interest in Art. We have a yearly programme of events that includes a variety of social evenings - hosted mainly at No 8 Community Arts Centre, talks, workshops and group exhibitions, plus some of us meet occassionally to talk about our Art, others meet to play music and a photography group meet regularly at Number 8.. so you can dip into which ever catches your eye, or start your own interest group and invite others to come and join in.

About “WANA”.

A group of artists came together in September 2007 with a vision of creating a visual arts festival/ open studio event in and around Pershore. Just two months later the WANA constitution was written and the first few members joined. Seed bed money from Wychavon County Council (many thanks to Jenny Davis - the Arts Development Officer for believing in us) made it possible for us to produce promotional leaflets 2 and a half years later we are over 70 strong, 12 of whom form the committee.

WANA is intended to be fun, diverse and open to all.

WANA on Pershore High Street.

45 High Street, Pershore has become “Studio 45” for a short while at least. WANA has taken on the property as a studio and gallery space and all members are being invited to exhibit work (any sales are subject to 20% commission), use the space to run workshops from, or simply as a drop in centre to paint/create for a few hours - or just pop in for a drink and a chat.
