❤️ Teaching the Next Generation of Lifesavers!

On Monday 2nd November, 24 residents attended a vital, hands-on CPR and lifesaving training session, delivered completely free of charge by Anthony Parkes and Julia King.
Among our trainees were four enthusiastic young wannabe lifesavers, all under the age of 16! 👏 What a fantastic way to inspire the next generation and equip them with skills that could one day save a life!
The session was packed with invaluable practical advice and hands-on experience, helping everyone develop the confidence to respond in an emergency.
❤️ We learnt how to:
Recognise the signs of a cardiac emergency and understand the importance of the Chain of Survival.
Perform CPR and understand why acting quickly is so important.
Use a defibrillator (AED) safely and confidently.
Recognise when a baby, child or adult is choking and what action to take.
Remain calm, respond quickly and potentially save someone's life.
Anthony Parkes is an experienced educator who understands the importance of giving people the knowledge, practical skills and confidence to act when every second counts. His engaging approach to teaching helped make potentially daunting situations easier to understand, ensuring everyone felt included and encouraged to participate.
Working alongside Julia King, Anthony delivered a friendly, informative and practical session where everyone had the opportunity to ask questions, practise techniques and gain a better understanding of how to respond in a life-threatening emergency.
A huge thank you to Anthony and Julia for so generously giving their time, expertise and enthusiasm to provide this invaluable training.
It was particularly heartwarming to see our four youngest trainees enthusiastically getting involved, proving that you are never too young to start learning how to save a life! ❤️
