Regrettably, the seating provided by the Parish Council on Riverside was destroyed in 2023 due to the impact of rapid waters from the swollen River Anker. Despite Witherley Parish Council's decision to acquire a new bench in December 2023, they have not followed through, causing residents to be deprived of a cherished amenity during the Summer of 2024.

WANA is delighted to share the news of a new seat for our residents, a wonderful gift made possible by a very generous donation. We are overflowing with gratitude for this contribution and invite you to follow the heart warming story in our video posted here.

WANA is a community organisation that cares about the safety and protection of the public and is covered by public liability insurance. Extensive research was conducted prior to the bench installation, and a thorough examination of land ownership and licensing requirements was completed prior to accepting the donation.
